A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Italy’s Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco region is far more than a place to visit for a day of wine tasting. Brimming with luxury guesthouses, agriturismos (farm-stays) and cute family-run B&Bs, you’ll be spoilt for choice if you choose to take an extended break in the area. To help you decide where to rest your head after a day of tasting Italy’s sparkling wine, here’s a list of my absolute favourite accommodation in the area. These are the places the Italian Sparkle team and I have personally visited, tried and tested. I’ve listed them alphabetically.
Prices: I’ve included prices as an indication. These may change based on seasonality, discounts and availability. Map: You can see the accommodation on our map, below.

We offer Wine Tasting Tours: Book a half day or full day tour. Find out more.
Foresteria Borgoluce
Borgoluce is one of my top recommendations if you’re after an agritourismo farm-stay in the region. Borgoluce is a beautiful sprawling 1,000 acre estate with multiple offerings from accommodation to restaurants to biking and walking trails, a wild swimming pool and, of course, vineyards.
Wake up to views of the Italian countryside, take a dip in the pool, taste wine then dine at a choice of Borgoluce’s eateries. It’s an all-encompassing stay in a working farm where the family produces everything from wine to buffalo mozzarella to honey, cured meats, beer, olive oil and pasta using ancient grains. Plus, it’s all done with biodiversity in mind.
Foresteria Borgoluce – the estate’s accommodation – is split across two buildings, linked by a short trail. Nestled amidst meadows, woodlands and vineyards, you can choose between an en-suite room in the main building or one of the apartments, which are perfect for families and come complete with views of Castle San Salvatore in the distance. The breakfast (included) is a real treat, with Borgoluce’s own produce turning up on the table. Don’t miss the honey and olive oil.
Borgoluce is constantly innovating and I personally can’t wait to see what opens next. What I am sure of is that it will be wonderfully done. Everything Borgoluce turns their hands to, turns out incredibly well.
Note: The beauty of Foresteria Borgoluce is how remote it is. That does mean there are no restaurants within walking distance if you don’t have a car during your stay. However, the staff are very friendly and can help arrange local transport or an evening snack for you (cold meats and cheese), which is perfect if you’ve had a long lunch and afternoon of sparkling wine drinking.

Casaborgomarche
Situated in the thick of the family’s own vineyards, Casaborgomarche is everything you want in an B&B. The stone house has been expertly converted from the old family home into a guesthouse complete with design features that let you know this farm-stay is more than a place to rest your head after a day tasting Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco D.O.C.G; it’s a passion project from the owner who has an impressive eye for design.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable while the ample breakfast includes homemade cake, jams, croissants, fresh juice and a choice of cooked eggs. After a day of walking, tasting or exploring, help yourself to a glass of Borgomarche’s Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco from the fridge (honesty policy basis) and relax in the communal area. If you’re looking for a true home from home in the region, Casaborgomarche offers exactly what you need.

Col del Lupo
Coming soon – From the Col del Lupo family (who produce excellent wines), an exciting one bedroom en-suite room perched right at the top of the rolling hills. If you’re looking for a romantic retreat, surrounded by vineyards, this unique room is for you. The room has recently been renovated. More details coming soon.
Duca di Dolle
Another agritourismo that can serve up own-label wineas well as a host of other local produce, Duca di Dolle is perfect if you want a tranquil stay. I could show you a picture of my room, which had a simple and natural dark wood and white linen feel but really, the best of this accommodation lies just outside the door. One of the prettiest breakfast spots you are going to find in the region, and ideal for a post-tour glass of sparkling wine at sunset. Bonus: there’s a large pool for those hazy summer days.

Hotel Dei Chiosti

Hotel Villa Abbazzia
If you have grand plans for your trip to the region, stay at Hotel Villa Abbazia. This Relais & Chateau hotel in the heart of Follina has the region’s only Michelin star restaurant and drips with opulence. Follina itself is a perfect base with a beautiful Abbey and a choice of bars and bistros. I’ve stayed in this hotel and you can’t beat the sumptuousness.

Locanda Da Lino
There’s a high likelihood someone famous from the Italian arts and music scene has slept in your room if you choose Locanda Da Lino. I ate lunch is the restaurant, then explored the rooms, and I was sufficiently wowed by both the food and accommodation. Best of all, there are a couple of apartment-style rooms, which are great for groups.

Casa Marinelli
Casa Marinelli is an intimately small inn, featuring just three rooms, so book early if you want to secure a room here. Located in the heart of the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco Region, this inn is family-owned with clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms that have a modern yet rustic feel. Make sure you throw open the windows as soon as you wake – the views are superb, stretching right across the town of Farra di Soligo and out towards the undulating hills.
But perhaps the most compelling reason to stay is the on-site restaurant, Ristorante Calizia. The restaurant is also small but the dishes coming out of the kitchen are packed with flavour and are as photogenic as they are tasty. Do not miss the truffle fries. Or the risotto…or the desserts…or the…whole menu.

Relais Le Betulle
This hotel has so many winning features. It’s located in Conegliano, making it perfect if you’re arriving by train, but being up in the hills, you still get the sense of remoteness as well as spectacular views.
There are a couple of eateries within walking distance once you’re at the top though the on-site restaurant Enrica Miron is impressive enough you probably won’t want to dine elsewhere. Relais Le Betulle has a beautiful swimming pool for cooling off in summer.

Maso di Villa
Maso di Villa is an old farmhouse which has been converted into a quaint country inn, located on the top of a hill close to the town of Susegana.
During the spring and summer months, the building’s original stone walls are almost completely covered in ivy, while purple wisteria clings to the wooden pergola outside, making it one of the prettiest options for accommodation in the region.
Inside, the rest of the inn is just as enchanting as its exterior. The bedrooms have wooden floors and exposed beam ceilings, while the entire property is elegantly decorated with antique floral furnishings and impressive attention to detail. The combination of the welcoming decor and the extremely attentive hosts will have you feeling immediately at home.
The farmhouse also has a large wrap around garden with a vegetable patch and an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the surrounding vineyards – ideal for a sunny day in the hills.
Maso di Villa also has its own small winery next door to the property, which guests can visit and sample their two red wines Colli di Conegliano Rosso DOCG, Nasi Rossi and Maso di Villa.

Villa Clementina Tenuta Contarini
Tenuta Contarini is a historic 19th century villa nestled within the twelve hectares of vineyards of the Contarini Estate. The villa has been converted into a charming farmhouse, perfect for a stay in the heart of the region.
Reached by driving down an avenue of centuries-old lime trees (don’t miss a photo op here!), the farmhouse has a rustic charm to it, with wood-beamed ceilings, parquet floors, antique furnishings and cosy sofas placed by fireplaces to enjoy during the cooler months. You can choose between a classic room, featuring original styling, one of the suites, or an apartment. Included in the price is a tasty and substantial home-cooked breakfast which is served in the large dining room and outdoor terrace each morning.
All of Villa Clementina’s rooms have recently been renovated and blend the delight of old and new in soothing neutral tones.
