First of all – great tour! But this is why Stefano is exceptional. My wife and I are walking to the Vicenza train station when I learn our train is canceled and there are no good alternatives. Stefano immediately responds and diverts us to the Mestre station which is an extra hour drive (one-way for him). Because of the train delay, Stefano had to locate another winery in the morning which was absolutely fantastic (Vitivinicola Marchiori). He also found a different lunch location which was also superb (Trattoria alla Cima – see photo). While we were at lunch, Stefano had a flat tire but being the ultimate problem solver, he convinced the owner of the next vineyard to come and pick us up at the restaurant. At the end of the day, Stefano drove us all the way back to Mestre for the train back to Vicenza. He is smart, articulate and an all around good guy.
